Activities include:
Fellwalking: We're a quick drive from some of the finest fells in the National Park - Helvelyn (3117 ft), Blencathra (2848 ft) and Skiddaw (3054 ft).
Easier climbs include Mell Fell (1762 ft) with it's 360 degree view from the top, plus beautiful lakeside walks along Ullswater (from Pooley Bridge and Glenridding) and Derwentwater (from Keswick or take the steamer to the far side of the lake).
Biking: We're just off the C2C Sustrans route and have easy access to exciting mountain biking routes.
Entertainment: In Keswick there's an excellent theatre (Theatre by the Lake) and cinemas at Penrith, Carlisle, Keswick, Ambleside and Rheged.
Penrith has a modern Leisure Centre with swimming pool and gym and there's a wave pool at Keswick.
Visit Dove Cottage (Wordsworth's house), Hilltop Farm (Beatrix Potter's house) and a variety of castles, galleries, museums and gardens.
